Riverbend Trading Post Disc Golf Course is proud to have been awarded a #ThrowGREEN Grant — a PDGA Initiative — in support of our Riverbend Disc Golf Environmental Stewardship & Habitat Protection Project.
This project supports:
Our course is located on private natural land surrounded by prairie, trees, wildlife habitat, pollinator areas, river valley views, and seasonal sunflower spaces.
As Riverbend continues to grow — with the disc golf course, campground, and sunflower U-Pick Farm — we are committed to keeping stewardship, community, and respect for the land at the center of what we do.
Please help us keep Riverbend beautiful by playing responsibly:

If it came with you, it leaves with you.
Riverbend is a natural, off-grid outdoor space. Please help us keep it clean, beautiful, and safe for players, campers, wildlife, and future visitors.
To help reduce wildlife attractants, there are no garbage cans placed throughout the disc golf course.
A waste bin is available near the course entrance. Garbage bags are provided there for players to use. Please place your trash in a bag, tie it closed, and dispose of it in the waste bin when you finish your round.
Please take out:
Even small litter can harm wildlife, attract unwanted animals, and take away from the experience for other players.
Pick up one extra piece of litter during your round and help leave the course better than you found it.
Thank you for helping us protect the land while enjoying the course.

Every step helps protect the land.
Please stay on marked routes, fairways, and designated walking paths whenever possible while playing Riverbend.
Following the course flow helps:
Shortcuts may seem harmless, but repeated foot traffic can damage plants, compact soil, expose roots, and create erosion over time.
Please avoid cutting through long grass, planted areas, riverbank spaces, sunflower areas, or natural habitat zones unless they are part of the marked course route.
Follow the intended course flow and choose the path that protects the land, even if it takes a few extra steps.
Thank you for helping us keep Riverbend natural, safe, and enjoyable for future players.

Riverbend is home to native vegetation, grasses, trees, pollinator spaces, and seasonal sunflower areas. These natural spaces are part of what makes the course beautiful, but they also play an important role in protecting the land.
They support:
Please avoid walking through planted or sensitive areas, and keep discs and foot traffic out of habitat zones whenever possible.
Pollinator-friendly spaces help create habitat, support biodiversity, and add to the Riverbend experience. Protecting these areas helps keep the course healthy, scenic, and enjoyable for future players and visitors.
Stay on marked paths and enjoy the beauty without damaging the plants that help protect the land.
Thank you for helping us protect the plants, pollinators, and natural spaces that make Riverbend special.

Riverbend is more than a disc golf course. It is also habitat for birds, pollinators, deer, small animals, and other wildlife that live, feed, nest, and travel through the property.
Wildlife sightings are part of what makes Riverbend special, and respectful play helps keep those moments possible.
Please help protect wildlife by:
Watch quietly, take photos respectfully, and let wildlife stay wild.
Thank you for helping us protect the birds, pollinators, and wildlife that make Riverbend such a special place to play.

#ThrowGREEN is about simple actions that protect the places we play.
Every round at Riverbend is a chance to care for the land, respect the space, and help keep the course welcoming for the next player.
Before you leave the course, ask:
Small actions matter. When each player does their part, the whole course benefits.
A better course starts with each player.
Thank you for helping us grow the sport responsibly while protecting the land that makes Riverbend special.
