Bloom, Laugh, Repeat – Welcome to our sunflower u-pick farm

The Riverbend Trading Post Sunflower U-Pick Farm is still blooming, and this year marks our 6th season of sunflowers — and six seasons of growing smiles along the way.

Over the years, we’ve welcomed so many wonderful visitors who have picked flowers, shared laughs, taken photos and created memories with us. Thank you for helping this little prairie experience continue to grow.

Nestled near the beautiful North Saskatchewan River, our approximately 5-acre sunflower field is a place to slow down, enjoy the prairie views, take some beautiful photos, pick a few blooms and simply enjoy the moment.

Around here, we grow more than sunflowers — we grow smiles, memories and a little prairie magic too. 🌻

Our Sunflower U-Pick is now operating by reservation, so please call before making the drive.

Let us know what day and time you would like to come, and we’ll do our best to make sure someone is available to welcome you and open the garden.

Please reserve your time before heading out, as our hours may vary while we work on projects throughout the campground, farm and disc golf course.

Fill your bucket as full as you can.

Your admission helps us cover some of the behind-the-scenes costs of keeping the sunflower experience growing — including seeds, mowing, weed control, insurance, equipment, trail upkeep, signage and general maintenance.

Our sunflowers generally begin blooming in late July or early August, with the garden changing throughout the season.

Every stage offers something a little different — from fresh early blooms to fields filled with golden sunflowers.

As always, Mother Nature decides exactly how long the season lasts, so if you’ve been thinking about visiting, call and reserve your time while the flowers are still putting on their show.

Riverbend is a rural destination, so we recommend topping up your fuel before making the drive.

Fuel is available in communities such as Lashburn and Maidstone, as well as Lloydminster and the Battlefords, depending on which direction you are travelling from.

Once you leave the highway communities, services become more limited.
