🌻 Six Years of Sunflower Power & Prairie Magic! 🌻
The Riverbend Trading Post Sunflower U-Pick Farm is back in bloom! This year marks our 6th season of sunflowers — and we couldn’t have done it without you.
Over the years, we’ve welcomed so many amazing visitors who have picked flowers, shared laughs, captured memories, and helped this prairie experience grow. Thank you for being part of the Riverbend story — your support truly makes every season brighter.
Nestled along the beautiful North Saskatchewan River with a million-dollar view, our 5-acre sunflower field offers the perfect place to soak up the sunshine, take stunning photos, and enjoy a peaceful day outdoors.
And since August is Happiness Happens Month, sunflower season feels like the perfect way to celebrate it. Bright blooms, open skies, fresh prairie air, and time spent making memories with the people you love — that’s the kind of happiness we’re proud to grow at Riverbend.
Once planted, our sunflowers typically bloom from late July through mid-October, with peak color and photo opportunities throughout the season.
Every stage offers something a little different — from early blooms to full fields of golden sunflowers — so there’s always a great time to visit.

They are bringing in extra help to keep the business steady while focusing on treatment and family.
All proceeds from face painting will help support the family with treatment-related time, travel, and work-related costs.

To make the most of your visit to the farm area at Riverbend Trading Post, here are a few helpful tips:
This is an outdoor farm experience, so please check the forecast and dress accordingly. We recommend sun hats, sunscreen, and light, breathable layers for sunny days.
Our sunflower fields and farm areas have uneven terrain. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended for safety and comfort.
We are located near the river, so be prepared for a few friendly bugs, especially later in the day.
Planning to cut your own sunflowers? Please bring your own garden shears or trimmers. You may also bring a bucket, or take advantage of our $25 fill-a-bucket special.
Stay cool and hydrated. Bottled water and packaged snacks are available at the Trading Post.
If you plan to play disc golf during your visit, please bring your own discs and book your tee time online in advance.
Our RV campground is off-grid, with no power or water hookups. Please pack accordingly for a rustic, nature-immersed getaway. Campsites should be booked online prior to your visit. Optional add-ons may include picnic table rental and firewood.
Great idea! We welcome picnics and have several picnic tables available, some with beautiful views of the historic North Saskatchewan River. Bring your favourite lunch from home or enjoy food and treats from Sweet Treats & Eats, our food truck vendor on location during Open Farm Days. Find a picnic spot, relax, and enjoy a peaceful meal outdoors.
From sunflower photo zones to the iconic REO Speed Wagon truck, there are plenty of memorable photo backdrops.
Come prepared and enjoy a day full of nature, sunshine, and unforgettable memories at Riverbend Trading Post.
We offer free on-site parking for all guests during Open Farm Days.

At Riverbend Trading Post, we are proud to be an agro-tourism destination combining farming, nature, and recreation. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors during Open Farm Days, please keep the following rules in mind.
Please do not climb or touch fences, gates, or farm equipment. These are in place for your safety and for the proper operation of our working farm.
Our sunflower fields, farm areas, campground, and disc golf course are clearly marked. Please stay within designated areas to protect both guests and the land.
As this is a working farm, you may encounter uneven ground, including holes caused by gophers or other wildlife. Closed-toe shoes are highly recommended.
We welcome bees and butterflies in our sunflower garden. They are doing important work! Please observe them respectfully and avoid disturbing their habitat.
If you or someone in your group has a known allergy to bee stings or insect bites, please come prepared with any necessary medications, such as an EpiPen, and take all appropriate precautions. Our sunflower fields naturally attract pollinators.
All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Our farm is full of adventure, but adult supervision helps keep it safe and fun.
Please use the garbage bins provided and leave the space as beautiful as you found it.
Pets are welcome, but they must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after. Please bring waste bags and keep pets under control to ensure a great experience for everyone.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping Riverbend Trading Post a safe, respectful, and family-friendly place to explore. Thank you for being part of our farm story — enjoy your visit! #OpenFarmDays
